Kicking on after announcing two new directors at the start of the year, Burning Reel have signed another filmmaker, as they announced that director Michael J Ferns has joined for representation. The twenty six year old BAFTA winner is a young and promising talent with a impressive amount of work under his belt already. Read his bio below.

Grants Whiskey

Firstly, a question. Do you know who got their entire family to star in a (once state-of-the-art) VHS camera movie at age of twelve? And then skip school to stay home and edit? And then write, shoot, and direct a 90-minute lottery funded feature, winning a multiplicity of film festival awards at fifteen?

Mike. That's who.

Now, at 26, he’s the nonchalant owner of a BAFTA, in addition to an array of nominations for a second after having worked with huge brands such as Grant’s whisky, Virgin and Cow & Gate. He has also recently just wrapped up on directing the new series of Tracy Beaker for CBBC. He has so many strings to his bow, he may as well wear green tights.

Mike has several projects in the works, so stay tuned but in the meantime head over to Burning Reel to check out some selects from his reel.
