Missing Link Films & Ashley Francis-Roy partnered with industry leaders Leo Burnett UK, Publicis Groupe, and We Rise to delve into the crucial topic of diversity in our field

Just 13% of the UK advertising industry are people of colour. As part of Missing Link Films' drive to improve diversity in the industry, they partnered with Leo Burnett, Publicis and We Rise. Their aim was to discover some of the reasons why there is a lack of diversity in the industry and to inspire students of colour to consider a career in advertising.

The result is this inspiring 60 second film, powered by authentic and passionate voices from students from Lambeth as a part of Brixton based community business We Rise workshops. The students’ brilliant concept was brought to life by the dynamic and electric filmmaker Ashley Francis-Roy who perfectly captures the vision and desire in every frame.

“I loved working with We Rise and Hayley Power to inspire students of colour to consider a career in advertising. It was a privilege and amazing fun to help them bring their vision to life in this short film! Thanks to the crew and partners who supported us.” - Ashley Francis-Roy
