Martin Aamund and Papaya Films Collaborate on the new Grimbergen spot that transports the audience to a World of Flavours

Movie making maestro Martin Aamund once again teams up with Papaya Films for the latest commercial for beer brand Grimbergen. In typically flawless fashion Martin’s aesthetic and direction creates a story that sends the audience and the main protagonist on a tranquil journey through different worlds. The story starts off simple: a man in a bar orders a pint of Grimbergen and after smelling the aromas he is then transported into another world, a world of discovery and flavours. 

The commercial expertly blends live action with stunning VFX work that help to create a surreal dream-like quality to the narrative, like stepping into a beautiful work of art. From beautiful golden landscapes to digitally created wild animals we witness a variety of otherworldly imagery that somehow still feels familiar and calming. Then we are greeted with a great Phoenix covered in flames referencing the ionic brand image of Grimbergen “The Beer of The Phoenix” that carries our character back to the bar, now a changed man his life will never be the same.
