Director Kai Kurve, who is a part of the comedic HOBBY films roster, has directed three new films for LEGO centering on various individuals who seem to have lost their balance in their daily lives.
After going through a series of off kilter mishaps, such as groceries bags ripping, door handles being stepping in gum, flat tires, jammed printers, these unfortunate souls are only given ease once they indulge in the recreation of LEGO, and create LEGO based works of art for themselves which illuminate their environments and restore all balance.
What makes these quirky films that extra bit more special is the irony established between the calm, matter of fact voice over and the stress and frustration seen on screen. It’s comedic and relatable in showcasing that we don’t always have things in order and under control even when it’s expressed that we do. We’ll be sure to get our box of LEGOs for the next misstep we encounter.
