Aardman create their very first video game

Aardman Animations have teamed up with two huge video game companies, Bandai Namco and DigixArt to create a new World War 1 story-led game called 11-11 Memories Retold, for Xbox, PlayStation and PC.

11-11 Memories Retold’ is a story of war and the choices of men that cross the barriers between loyalties, languages, and nations.

This story led game tells the story of two characters from opposing sides of the battlefield who find themselves stuck together. They face challenges and are faced with difficult choices to make which tests the humanity between them.

The beautiful animation in the game is one straight out of Aardmans brain, the art style is similar to an oil painting, reminiscent of the old times of World War 1. It really makes the player feel like they are plating through history.  The developers hope to create an "emotionally rich experience” and sparing no expense by casting Elijah Wood as Harry, one of the lead charactes.

11:11, of course, refers to Armistice Day, "the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month" of 1918, when the armistice was signed between the Allies and Germany at Compiègne, France, for the cessation of hostilities on the Western Front of World War 1.

We are really looking forward to play this one.
