Nick Piper joins MPC Creative

What do you get when you combine an Oxford mathematician with an industry renowned VFX artist and a competitive amateur boxer? The answer is Cannes Gold Lion winner Nick Piper.

Luckily for us, his boxing and maths career took a back seat and he went on to direct impressive pieces of work for brands such as Hyundai, P&G, Google and Nissan to name a few.

As excited as MPC Creative and Nick are about their new partnership, this isn’t the first time Nick Piper has worked with MPC.

“Joining forces with MPC again is just like coming home. Having started my career there as a VFX compositor, now I’m excited to team up again on visual projects, but this time as a live action director at MPC Creative. The industry is constantly looking for smart ways to solve creative challenges, so a creative division that can combine MPC’s formidable VFX wizardry with live action talent and expertise is a really exciting place to be”.

After honing his VFX skills at MPC, Nick went to the U.S to build his directing career, and stayed there for a bit longer than he expected, 20 years longer. But he did achieve his goal of becoming a prominent live-action director with a keen eye for human storytelling, while still getting to use his VFX expertise on visually driven spots too. We can’t wait to see what this new partnership with MPC Creative will bring.

MPC Creative's current roster includes a select range of directors with distinctive styles. Piper brings to the mix a humble approach by exploring human motivations and capturing every detail. Advantaged with a strong track record as a VFX artist, he sets himself apart as a human performance director with an instinct for interesting visuals.
